Aerating
Aerating in the Spring and or the Fall. Lawn aeration is one of the best ways to care for the overall health of your lawn. Aerating your lawn at least once per year will help to naturally break down the layer of lawn thatch that has built up. It also allows proper water, air, and nutrient penetration to reach the root system directly and give your roots some room to grow.
Core aeration pulls dirt plugs out of the ground from your lawn.
Pulling plugs from the ground allows the soil to accept air and nutrients directly where it is needed.
By opening the root system to air and water, you're also allowing room for the roots to stretch and grow!
Another benefit of having your lawn aerated is that as the core plug comes out, the layer of lawn thatch is naturally broken apart and tinned out, as well as allowing fertilizer and natural nutrients to reach the root system nearly immediately.
